Samare is a Canadian design studio comprised of four designers and architects that revisit national cultural emblems and translate them into contemporary objects. With the striking juxtaposition of both contemporary and hand-crafted materials, Samare maintains its ideals of presenting functional and aesthetically considered objects and is inspired by their cultural heritage. In using their skills and understanding of traditional materials, the Samare collection is constantly evolving to include new items rigourously handmade in Canada.
The design objects have been exhibited at the Galleria Luisa Delle Piane, Milan and the Art to Design Gallery, Bologna.
Samares' Mountie Stool is part of the Decorative Arts collection at the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts.
