Fréderic Dedelley received his education in Product Design at ECAL in Lausanne and at the Art Center College of Design (Europe) in La-Tour-de-Peilz, Switzerland. Since 1995 he heads his own design studio in Zurich, focusing on products, furniture and interiors. Also a professor at the University of Art and Design Basel (2001-2008) and the Hochschule Luzern (since 2009), Dedelley has been awarded several distinctions for his work, among them the Swiss Design awards 2004 and 2007 as well as the The Best09 Design Award 2009.
His work on exhibition and museum designs includes projects for the mudac in Lausanne, the Expo.02 in Yverdon-les-Bains as well as several projects for the Museum of Design in Zurich. His work on the Swiss churches St. Theresia, Neumünster and Wasserkirche, all in Zurich, received considerable attention.
Frédéric Dedelley's works have been shown at Museum Bellerive, Zurich; Museum für Gestaltung, Zurich; Museum Akihabara, Tokyo and mudac, Lausanne etc.
He designs furniture and objects for companies such as Burri AG Public Elements, Classicon, Dornbracht, Driade, Lehni, Merlo-T, Milus, Wireworks, Wogg and Atelier Pfister.
