Hermann August Weizenegger studied Industrial Design at Hdk-Berlin (UDK). In 1993 he co-founded the Vogt + Weizenegger design studio. From 2002 to 2004 he served as guest professor and since 2004 he is professor at the FH Potsdam. He has been working solo since 2009.
His work has been shown in several exhibitions, among them Appel Design Galerie, Berlin; MARTa, Herford (VW); Tokyo Art Museum, Tokyo (VW); Design Biennale, Luzern; Designmai, Berlin (VW); Box Gallery, Lissabon (VW); Gallery Krome, Berlin; Galerie Almut Gerber, Köln; Gallery Binnen, Amsterdam; Stilwerk Düsseldorf (VW).

Weizenegger received several awards for his designs, among them the Roter Punkt, Essen 2002 and 2008, Interzum Award Köln 2007, IF Preis Hannover 2001, Form 2000 Frankfurt, Best New Product Möve Badaccessoires, New York, 2000, and was finalist in the Mandarina Duck Award, Mailand, 2000.
His work is present in several collections.
