A Berlin-born Canadian, Jerszy Seymour grew up in London where he studied engineering at South Bank Polytechnic and industrial design at the Royal College of Art. He then moved to Milan where he started his own experimental and conceptual projects as well as designing for companies including Magis, Vitra, Kreo, Moulinex, SFR and IDEE. Seymour has taught at the RCA in London, the Domus Academy in Milan, the ECAL in Lausanne, the HfG in Karlsruhe and the Vitra Design Workshops in France. Currently he holds a guest-professorship at the HBK Saar and lives and works in Berlin.
His work has been exhibited in galleries and institutions such as the Design Museum, London; Vitra Design Museum, Basel/Berlin; Palais de Tokyo, Paris and Gallery Kreo, Paris. Seymour's work is present in the permanent collections of the MoMA, New York; the Fonds National d'Art Contemporain, France and the Musee d'Art Grand-Duc Jean, Luxembourg.
