Nicolas Le Moigne studied Product Design at ECAL, Lausanne and graduated with a MA of Product Design in 2007. Already while a professor for the polytechnical school of Lausanne (EPFL) from 2005-2006, he developed numerous successful designs. Since 2007 he holds a professorship at the Design department of ECAL, Lausanne. In the same year he launched his own design studio and has since exhibited extensively in galleries and institutions such as MoMA, New York; Salone del Mobile, Milan; Mudac, Lausanne; Showroom Einzigart, Zurich and NextLevel Galerie, Paris etc.
He pursues to create design objects "that are helpful in the daily life" for his own design studio as well as for Eternit and Atelier Pfister among others. His often startling and at the same time aesthetically clear designs indeed win favor with their functionality and efficiency.
Le Moigne received several awards for his designs, among them the
Swiss Design Award 2008 and the Bourses de la Fondation Leenaards 2009.
Le Moigne is also represented by Gallery Libby Sellers in London and NextLevel Galerie in Paris.
