osko+deichmann (*1975)

Blasius Osko, Oliver Deichmann

Studies at the University of Fine Arts, Berlin where they soon started to collaborate. In 1998 they founded the Design Studio “wunschforscher” roughly translated as “desireresearchers”, creating objects between design, invention and art. Their most famous works from this period are the “SushiRoller” and the “top.table”. Simultaneously the duo was involved in set-designs and visual cocepts for fashion shows, events and parties, amongst others for MTV Designerama On Stage and for Adidas Originals.
In 2005 they founded “osko + deichmann” and have been working for companies such as Ligne Roset, Kundalini, MOOOI and Blå Station since. In 2010 the design duo have been awarded the +1Award (Stockholm Design Week) for Best New Product.

The works of “osko+deichmann” have been shown in institutions such as the Louvre, Paris; Vitra Design Museum, Weil am Rhein and Berlin; Cube Gallery, Manchester; Deutsche Guggenheim, Berlin; VIA Gallery, Paris; 107 Rivoli, Paris and CONTRIBUTED studio for the arts, Berlin etc. Their Straw Cantilever Chair, 2009 is part of the collection in the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam.
