5 Stages of Architecture Design
If you are planning to have a new house and trying to consult with an architect, here are the different stages that you must have to undergo:
1. Schematic Design
The first stage of development in the architectural aspect, schematic design is the stage in which the meeting takes place between owner and the architect. All of the specific requirements needed for the project were discussed here. So, expect to see numbers of sketching during this phase.
2. Design Development
This is when the selection of materials happens. Choosing of interior finishes like doors, windows, and even appliances will be expected here. Moreover, the architect may also revise the drawing in order to add more details to the original schematic design.
The technical settings and engineering aspects of the project will be agreed by the architect and engineers. Construction engineering and designing, air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems are just some of the inclusions here.
Picking a contractor by the owner is done through this stage. Assisting the client is the major role of the architect on this stage of development.
Periodic visit will be performed by the architect. This is to ensure the project’s progress and see if the contractor follows the required plan. Among the other process, this is the longest one.
